The remodeling project on the terrace at Hegel Street proposes a 25m² communal space for the residents and their guests. This space offers both the comfort of the interior and the scenic views of Uruguay Park in the Polanco neighborhood.
The pergola features steel frames arranged in vertical and horizontal directions, supporting a series of laminated wood and tempered glass parasols that allow light to pass through. The perimeter is composed of white painted aluminum gates with tempered glass, ensuring safety in the open environment. Additionally, the project includes a solution for the electrical installation, enabling the use of entertainment devices that require power. (2020)

The intervened space was previously underutilized, serving as a storage area for household artifacts due to a lack of proper storage solutions. The remaining portion of the terrace was occasionally used for meals with friends or family, though these gatherings were limited to only half of the terrace. The on-site survey, documented using Revit, was completed in a single day, facilitated by the straightforward nature of the space.
First Idea
The objective was to create a communal space for residents and their guests, offering an area where they could gather before or after meals. This space would include games and entertainment furniture to enhance the overall experience and foster better interactions among them.
